BIPPA members represent 47% of nation’s installed power generation capacity

At the third annual general meeting (AGM) of Bangladesh Independent Power Producers’ Association (BIPPA) the President of BIPPA Mohammad Latif Khan thanked the government of Bangladesh for the policy support that enabled Independent Power Producers (IPP) to contribute 47% of nation’s installed power generation capacity of about 20,000 MW.

The annual report and upcoming fiscal year’s budget of BIPPA were also approved at the AGM, said a press release.

BIPPA was formed in 2015, a trade organisation that represents fifty Independent Power Producers (IPPs) of the country.

BIPPA is committed to sustainable production and uninterrupted distribution of electricity, an essential service for the nation’s progress and development.
