BEZA inks deal with Titas Gas, REB to ensure gas, power

The Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) has signed a partnership deal with the state-owned utility providers-Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited and Rural Electrification Board (REB)-to ensure gas and power supplies in economic zones.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in this regard on Thursday in the capital with BEZA Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury in the chair.

BEZA Secretary Md Ayub, Titas Secretary Mushtaqe Ahmed and REB Secretary Md Mahbubul Bashar inked the deal on behalf of their respective entity.

Titas Gas Ltd Managing Director Md Nowshad Islam and REB Member (Planning and Development) Sunil Chandra Dey also spoke on the occasion.

Paban Chowdhury in his speech said economic zones will get uninterrupted power and gas supply to attract foreign investors.

While speaking on the function, Nowshad assured of providing gas connection to the economic zones on a priority basis.

On the occasion, Sunil Chandra lauded BEZA’s dynamic leadership for doing the country`s economic advancement.
