India wants to aid Bangladesh in establishing Rooppur plant

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Wednesday said that India is keen to aid Bangladesh in establishing Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant.

During a meeting with the Science and Technology Minister Yeafesh Osman at his secretariat office, Harsh Vardhan expressed about India`s interest for the Rooppur plant, said a press release.

In the bilateral meeting, they discussed about several mutual interests including science and technology research, biotechnology, marine research and nuclear power plant.

Both of them stressed importance on increased cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Anwar Hossain, Additional Secretary of the Science and Technology Ministry and Md Mujibur Rahman, another Additional Secretary of the same ministry were also present.
